Description

This is a 1960's era Tressy fashion model doll made by American Character Doll Company. She is a fashion doll like Barbie that was made to compete in the fashion doll market. She has a mechanism that allows her auburn rooted hair to be styled as long or short hair. She used to have a key for the mechanism in her belly that was used to wind and unwind the hair plug but the key is missing. She has painted eyes and lashes and a closed mouth.
Her body is hard plastic and her arms and head are soft vinyl. Her ears are not pierced.
She is dressed in Black Magic, a velvet and satin floor length wiggle dress. The dress snaps in the back and has a white cloth flower at the waist.
She stands 11 1/2" tall and is marked "1963 Amer Char Corp" on the back of her neck.
Condition: The vinyl of her face and arms is darker than the plastic body and there are stains and dings on the body. The key is missing for the hair winding mechanism. The dress has a tear on one side seam and one of the snaps needs to be repaired.
